Hey,
I’m the Simon Redfern who has lived in Berlin since 2004 and was born in London in 1964. Other Simon Redferns do exist! Hello if you are one of them!
About me (2024):
I’m a papa, programmer, CEO and composer / electronic musician who’s interested in tackling Climate Change and likes to bake for his family and friends!
My company is called TESOBE. We started the Open Bank Project in 2010 thus initiating the open banking movement which has now spread around the world.
In 2021 during the first lockdown, I initiated the Berlin Modular Society: We are a collective that curates and runs inclusive live modular synthesiser music events enjoyed by a diverse community of artists and enthusiasts of the Berlin modular music scene.
As part of 3rd Party Influence, I make live twisty techno that’s interesting to watch as well as listen and dance too.
Occasionally, I publish blog posts here
I’m co-host of 177Pod, a podcast which invites guests to talk about AI, climate change, blockchain and other current topics of interest.
I’ve improvised on the piano since I was a kid and practiced Tai Chi since my late teens. Berlin affords many opportunities for wild water swimming which I love.
I’m a member of the Tergar climate change group and volunteer for the Global Carbon Reward.
